Installation of our  Schneider Trophy 1919 Storyboard at Alum Chine Bournemouth

A further element in our Poole Flying Boat & Seaplane Harbour Trail, this storyboard celebrates the Schneider Trophy event – a race for seaplanes and flying boats – held locally in September 1919. The board was installed in August 2017 as part of a larger project to renovate the western cliff-top site known as ‘Spyglass Point’ viewpoint above Alum Chine; wildflower planting is scheduled for Autumn
